William Flynn, CLU®, Announces Retirement From Flynn Wealth Partners

EAST LANSING, MI – Flynn Wealth Partners is honored to announce the retirement of Bill Flynn, our co-founder, after over 40 years of dedicated service in the financial sector.

Bill transitioned to a consulting role in the summer but fully stepped away from the business at the end of 2024. He and his wife, Sheila, will continue to live in East Lansing and will remain clients of Flynn Wealth Partners.

“I am thankful to have walked with many of you at different stages of life—from early years with young kids to retirement and, eventually, end-of-life challenges,” Flynn said in an email to his clients. “Part of the reason I decided to work longer is because, over time, our clients have become our friends. Your stories have enriched my life, and I will always carry them with me.”

Bill began his career at Michigan Financial Group in 1985. In 2015, he co-founded Flynn Wealth Partners with his son, Nathanael. Bill and his wife Sheila celebrated 54 years of marriage this year, and plan to spend more time at their cottage in southwest Michigan—where his family has been vacationing for over 100 years. He continues to serve on the boards of Greater Lansing Youth for Christ and Athletes in Action at Michigan State University.

“Our team is so proud of my dad and the time he’s invested in our business and, most importantly, our clients,” said Nathanael Flynn, co-founder and managing partner. “His retirement is well-earned and well-deserved. We look forward to seeing him and my mom at client events and hearing how retirement life is treating them!”
